Shotsky Alpha Terms of Service

The application is currently in a very early stage of development. This implies a number of specific constraints:

Shotsky may lose your data

At the moment we are still figuring a lot of things out. Although we take care to ensure using Shotsky is safe, we may not always be able to guarantee data consistency and data security.

Shotsky therefore does not currently assume any liability for the safety of your data. This is going to change once our application is more stable.

Shotsky data security right now is best-effort

Although we are committed to ensuring that your data is secure and cannot be accessed by unauthorized parties, during the beta stage we are unable to make hard guarantees.

Data access for debugging

During the beta period, Shotsky staff has access to all the data uploaded to the system. While we guarantee that our staff are not going to be nosing in your projects unnecessarily, we might – without extra warning – access your project to ensure the system is working as desired. We do not have access to your passwords, API tokens or other credentials as these are stored encrypted.

Restricted use

At the moment we do not permit using Shotsky for management, playback, or storage of projects which are promoting, condoning or producing:

• Adult content
• Sexual abuse
• Illicit drug trade or trade in controlled substances
• Weapons trade
• Any other activity defined as illegal by the Dutch law

Usage quotas and fair use

We might contact you about your usage of Shotsky if we find out that your usage is causing problems to the system.

We might need to restrict or limit your usage due to excessive system load or bandwidth consumption.

When in doubt whether your usage is going to cause issues - please contact us with any questions.

Data storage and tracking

Shotsky stores information such as your IP address, browser name and version, and your email address in its database to make the service possible. We are also going to place the absolute minimum number of cookies on your browser to make the application functional.

We current are not, neither are we intending to, to use any third party data collection services that work directly from the user's browser and contact other servers than the ones Shotsky operates.

Changes to these terms

During the alpha and beta stages in the service development we reserve the right to unilaterally revise those terms of service. Such revisions will never include sharing the data or information you have uploaded with third parties.
